Shigiya offers its full expertise right from the applications process, offering highly customizable and engineered solutions. A customer is not a sale, its partnership. The customer’s success is our success. Support is unequivocally the highest priority.

Service

At Shigiya, we take great pride in our service and support. Almost every employee including sales, marketing, even top management has worked in service either fulltime or as part of our extensive and continuous cross training program. Our service teams support our customers worldwide in automotive, energy, machinery, and special industries.


Shigiya USA Service

Shigiya USA uses a broad network of distributors throughout North America who provide service and support. Shigiya USA also does direct service and support anywhere in North America. Below is a breakdown of the service capabilities at Shigiya USA.

Warranty

(1) Year full service and parts on the machine standard. Additional years of coverage available.

(2) Years on FANUC controls and drives.

Service

(4) Service technicians at Shigiya USA available most times next day.

(40+) Local distributors offering local support.

(9) Service teams at Shigiya Machinery Works. Teams include (1) Mechanics Tech, (1) Programming/Electrical Tech, (1) Translator/Support person when needed. These teams are available to, and do, support U.S., Canada, and Mexico customers as well.

The service technicians at Shigiya typically have years, even decades, of experience at Shigiya, and are cross trained with Design, Mechanical systems, Electrical systems, Programming, robotics and loading systems, as well as having worked in the Factory manufacturing Shigiya Machines.

Repair:

Shigiya USA offers onsite repair and at our office. Shigiya USA will make every attempt to help the customer's maintenance staff over the phone for no charge, available nights and weekends for emergencies. Non-warranty work is billed per day plus expenses and parts.

Full rebuilds, including wheelhead and spindle, done at Shigiya USA.

Parts

Shigiya USA stocks all its spare parts at its Wheeling IL office in the Chicago Suburbs. The estimated value of inventory stocked is $1.37 million.

Perishables: All perishable items such as belts, filters, bearings, and diamonds are fully stocked.
Motors: A selection of the most common motors and pumps for coolant, hydraulic, and lubrication systems stocked. Wheelhead and workhead motors also stocked, or available for rebuilding by Mitsubishi locally in Illinois, USA.
Hydraulics: All hoses and solenoids are commonly stocked.
Electronics: Switches, timers, relays, etc. are stocked for newer machines and partially for older machines (more than 15 years old.)
Gauging: Shigiya stocks a common selection of gauging systems and parts from Marposs and CGI. Shigiya USA receives OEM support locally from both companies in Illinois.
Tooling: Basic chucks and centers are stocked; any special or exclusive workholding is not stocked unless otherwise stated.
Mechanical:

Seals, bearings, etc. are stocked extensively at Shigiya USA, since workheads and tailstocks are precision bored and matched to centerline, overhaul or replacement is handled through Shigiya Machinery Works.

Ballscrews, linear motors, coupling assemblies, and scales are not stocked unless otherwise specified by Shigiya USA.

Pneumatic: A selection of pneumatic components are stocked and Shigiya USA uses equivalent local components as well.
Fanuc: Shigiya USA does not stock Fanuc components outside of flashcards. Fanuc service is available locally at almost any location within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
